Welcome to Brampton Wado Karate Club
Here you will find out all you need to know about the club, its history and the Wado Karate lessons we offer.
I am Shihan Richard Patrick 6th Dan and practice and teach in the martial art Wado-Ryu Karate-Do, the club has been running since 2015.
The club was originally formed by Mr Patrick Stewart and myself, we created the logo and set up the classes together.
The training sessions are very friendly and welcoming, we cater, teach and form the classes around nervous, and self-conscious students. We take our time with the students once they are comfortable and this has shown dividends over the years building confidence.
The club is part of the New Wood Karate Group which associated along with the Lenwood Karate Club and the New City Wado-Kai.
The Group is affiliated to the British Wado Karate Shikukai (BWKS)
The club carries out karate training, offers gradings of belts, fitness and exercise improvement programmes, Kata (form) and kumite (fighting) competitions at our clubs, both locally and nationally.
The BWKS association host kyu gradings and Dan gradings, seminars, courses and social gatherings.
The group has been running in the east of London for over forty years and has a good reputation within the community.
